Our 14 month old ruptured her left ACL (1/2010) and underwent the traditional surgery. the healing process was extremely quick, in fact our vet was shocked at speed of her recovery and how well she regained the muscle mass in the leg. 12 months later (1/2022) Bella ruptured her right ACL and underwent the same surgery. the healing process however, is not what the left knee experienced. almost 3.5 months post surgery later she still toe touches and hops when she walks despite the same recovery program. the limp is noticeable. I'm like you and will take it one day at a time and hope things will work out
