I was not able to reduce my dogs activity and acl stress level ( to many people handle him cause evry1 wants to love him) really should have just made him lose 10 lbs. and "crate him" in an enclosure for 2 mos. - Well he just had tightrope surgery and he's coming home tomorrow. - Im wondering if this procedure is a game changer in terms of arthritic and range of motion concerns - or is this a zero sideaffects operation-is the leg good as new after a succesful recovery? thanyok for ur comments (3yr old Queensland Heeler).

I am interested in your story. My lab of 5 years had knee surgery (TTA) 2 weeks ago. It was a tough few days right after surgery but she seemed to be able to get up and out to do her business fairly easy. I was glad we made the choice to spend @$3,000 for the surgery because we love our dog. Now, her good leg is faultering. It is very difficult for her to get up and around for her visits outside. I have been careful with her and she gets quite a bit of rest. She is only 67 pounds. I am afraid at her check up this week I am going to hear she needs surgery on her once "good" leg. I am curious and would like to know more about CM treatment. Her muscle tone in both legs/hips look week. I guess I may have a walking case study of one leg with surgery and one leg with CM. Any tips with CM would be appreciated. Thank you.
